The Living Word – Change Your Life

change faith word of god Jun 17, 2024

In Joshua 1:8, we find a crucial command followed by an amazing promise. Let’s take the time to read it together, “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed.”

Can you imagine if a friend offered to make you successful in everything you did? What if he promised you the ability to rise above any circumstance and stand against any enemy? What if he told you if you followed his direction, he would keep you from sin, destruction, and despair? Who among wouldn’t want this? Of course, we don’t have to guess what would happen because God has promised this to all of us who read His Word and follow His principles in our lives. There is power in the Word of God to change our lives!

In John 1, we see Jesus manifested in the flesh as the Word, and we have the same Words manifested on the Bible’s written pages. We don’t doubt the power Jesus wielded, but sometimes we forget the Word we hold in our hands has the same power. If we want more power, we need to fall in love with Jesus, find Him in the Word, and make His Word our priority. In Luke 1:26-37, God’s Word becomes life as the angel Gabriel visits Mary to tell her she is about to be the mother to the Savior of the world. She asks, “How?” and Gabriel declares, “Nothing is impossible with God.” The Word became a revelation and she believed the Word to be true and obeyed.

Let us activate the power of God’s Word in our lives and revel in His power as we make His Word our priority, meditate on His Word, and believe what He says. May God give us revelation through His Word, may His revelation give us faith, and may faith change our lives!
